On March 22, I was reunited with my Stars again. This was my fourth visit in one year and it feels great since now I'm their friend and not a stranger. So much happiness, laughters and energy each time we meet. Right after arrival to their home, I always unpack what I have brought and there is always plenty of excitement in the eyes of my Stars. This particular time the Guinness book of World Records was a success. Great stimulation for my older children. Just like my previous visits, I have had kind people donating clothes, money, towels, bedlinen and kitchen supplies.
This occasion I was short of time and could only stay for one night which perhaps was good since all the Stars were busy with revision for their upcoming exams the following week. It is impressive to see how dedicated they are to their education and also that they realize how important education is. Let's not talk about their motivation. Where does it come from? Their troublesome and challenging upbringing and current situation where role models have been absent, makes me respect them even more and especially when they told me: "Katarina, education no one can ever take away from you!"
During my short stay we also had time to bunker up their food storage and together we went to the local grocery shop. Always an experience and my Stars love to be involved. I also tried to lobby for good tooth care and had brought dental floss from Dubai but that was unfortunately not a success. Just painful, they thought. The Guinness book of World Records was much more interesting.
